    Vuma Hills Tented Camp

    Set of from your hotel in Dar Es salaam, you will drive off and after approximately 5 hours' driving on good tar roads, you will reach the Mikumi National Park. You will experience your first game drive on your way to the Vuma Hills Tented Camp. Vuma Hills Tented camp is perched above the trees stretching over the seemingly endless wilderness south west of Mikumi National Park. The little-known Mikumi National Park is well stocked with big game, a wide variety of birds, all set in beautiful golden grasslands, against a backdrops of the Udzungwa and Uluguru Mountains. The golden grasslands of north-western Mikumi provide the stage for a wonderful concentration of mammals, birds and reptiles, while the impenetrable forests and mountains to the south-east border the vast Selous.   • Asanja Ruaha

    Ruaha National Park

    Asanja Ruaha

    After breakfast you will depart Vuma Hills Tented Camp and drive southwest towards Iringa. On the way you will pass the scenic valley of the Great Ruaha River where majestic baobabs trees grow. On arrival at the Ruaha National Park, you will check in for lunch at the Isanja Ruaha Camp. With eight stylish tents this looks to be a luxurious base from where you can explore the wilds of Ruaha. Asanja Ruaha Ndembo is located in a remote region of Ruaha National Park overlooking the Great Ruaha River. The name Ndembo means elephant in the local Bantu language, a nod to the high numbers of elephants found in Ruaha. We are told that elephants are regularly seen around the camp and wading in the river nearby. All meals and accommodation at Asanja Ruaha Lodge.

  • Rufiji River Camp

    Selous Game Reserve

    Rufiji River Camp

    After breakfast you will be transferred to Ruaha airstrip for your flight to Selous game reserve. Upon arrival you be met and picked up by Rufiji River Camp transfer vehicle. Check in for lunch before commencement of your scheduled safari activities. Selous is rugged and remote and far from the crowds. It is the largest wildlife conservation area in Africa. The variety of habitats including Miombo woodlands, grasslands, forests and swamps are home to a selection of wildlife such as elephants, black rhinos, cheetahs, giraffes, hippos and crocodiles. The swamps and lagoons along the Rufiji River attract animals for bathing and drinking and are perfect for avid bird watchers as there are more than 350 bird species in the reserve. You will explore this unspoilt wilderness by safari vehicle, boat and on foot.

    Departure

    After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight to Dar Es Salaam. Our representative will reconfirm your onward flights and assist at check-in.
